We’re back with a prospect update, and what a week it was for some of the Anaheim Ducks’ prospects! Several Ducks’ prospects had the week off for different reasons and the San Diego Gulls continued their winning ways in the American Hockey League. It’s time to recap and analyze their performances. Welcome back to our series updating you on some of the Ducks’ top prospects and picks from the NHL Entry Draft.
San Diego Gulls Extend Win Streak
The San Diego Gulls played in two games over the last week, earning a 2-1 victory over the Ontario Reign and a 3-2 victory over the Colorado Eagles. It wasn’t as eventful of a week as the last for the Ducks prospects playing in the AHL. Zegras followed up his Player of the Week honors by registering just one assist across two games played. He registered the secondary assist on Vinni Lettieri’s power-play goal against Colorado. Jamie Drysdale was probably the most impressive of the bunch, recording two assists in the Gulls 3-2 victory over the Eagles with both coming on the power play. He now sits second in scoring among AHL defensemen with one goal and three assists for four points in four games played.
Lukas Dostal continued his hot start to the season, stopping 40 of 41 shots against in the Gulls 2-1 victory over Ontario. He got the night off in the Gulls game against Colorado last night with Anthony Stolarz taking over. Brayden Tracey is pointless through three games played while Benoit-Olivier Groulx is pointless through four games played. Jacob Perreault looked impressive on the Gulls struggling power play, but failed to register a point in two games this week.

Artyom Galimov & Sam Colangelo
There were no KHL games scheduled this week for most teams due to the Sweden Hockey Games. Galimov was supposed to play for Team Russia, but was replaced before the tournament started. Russia, Czech Republic, Finland and Sweden were the teams taking part in the tournament. Despite not playing he still made headlines as his impressive goal from last month earn KHL Goal of the Month honors for the month of January.
Upcoming Games: Feb. 15 vs. Dinamo Riga, Feb. 18 vs. Salavat Yulaev, Feb. 20 vs. Spartak
Colangelo didn’t play in either of Northeastern’s games this week after suffering a minor upper-body injury in his last game and is considered day-to-day. He still has two assists over five games played this season.

Axel Andersson, Albin Sundsvik and Thimo Nickl
Axel Andersson featured in all three games for Södertälje SK this week, recording one assist and two shots on goal in the process. Another point for the defenseman brings his totals to two goals and eight assists for ten points in 40 games played.
Upcoming Games: Feb. 15 vs. Västerås, Feb. 20 vs. Karlskoga
Rögle has loaned Thimo Nickl to Mora in the HockeyAllsvenskan. He played in one game for them this week against Andersson and Södertälje finishing scoreless on one shot, even rating, 17:12 TOI. He played on the second defense pairing for Mora.
Upcoming Games: Feb. 15 vs. Västervik, Feb. 17 vs. Väsby, Feb. 20 vs. Tingsryd
Albin Sundsvik and Skellefteå AIK had no games scheduled in the Swedish Hockey League this week. Likely due to the Swedish Hockey Games this week. Through 34 games played this season, he has five goals and five assists for ten points.
Upcoming Games: Feb. 16 vs. Örebro, Feb. 18 vs. Leksand, Feb. 20 vs. Brynäs
Blake McLaughlin, Jackson LaCombe and Jack Perbix
The University of Minnesota got back on track with back-to-back 3-0 victories over Notre Dame this weekend. Blake McLaughlin registered his ninth goal of the season and now has 20 points in 22 games played. Jackson LaCombe recorded on assist across two games played and brought his season totals to three goals and 11 assists for 14 points in 18 games played. Jack Perbix finished the week scoreless and has two goals and four assists for six points in 21 games played.
Upcoming Games: Feb. 19/20 vs. Michigan State
Trevor Janicke and Ian Moore
Trevor Janicke’s struggles continued as Notre Dame dropped two straight 3-0 losses to the University of Minnesota. He finished the week pointless with three shots on goal. He’s now failed to record a point in eight of his last nine games and has one goal and five assists for six points in 22 games played this season.
Upcoming Games: Feb. 19/20 vs. Wisconsin
Ian Moore continued his impressive run of form since returning to the Chicago Steel lineup last week. He played in all three of their games this week recording two assists. That’s now at least a point five of his last six games amassing three goals and three assists. He now has four goals and five assists for nine points in 21 games played.
