Arron Asham (born April 13, 1978) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player, having played his final year in the NHL with the New York Rangers during the 2014-15 season. Drafted 96th overall in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, Asham spent five seasons with the Montreal Canadiens, splitting time between the NHL and their AHL affiliate Fredericton Canadiens/Quebec Citadelles. Following his tenure with the Canadiens, Asham played in 11 seasons with the likes of the New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and New York Rangers. He finished his career playing 789 games, amassing 208 points (94 goals, 114 assists) and accumulating a total of 1004 penalty minutes.

Asham wasn’t known for his goal-scoring prowess, but his ability to drop the gloves and change the flow of the game is what kept interest up among NHL clubs. He finished his NHL journey with 98 career fights, 31 of which came in the two years spent with the Flyers. His most memorable rivals include Zenon Konopka (5 fights), Cam Janssen (5 fights), and Michael Rupp (4 fights). Asham is a Hlinka Gretzky Cup winner as part of the 1995 Canadian team.
