Dylan James (born October 12, 2003) is a Canadian ice hockey player, recently playing for the Sioux City Musketeers of the United States Hockey League (USHL). He was named to the USHL All-Rookie Team in 2022 while winning the USHL Clark Cup and earning the USHL Rookie of the Year award. James was selected 40th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

James grew up within the Alberta Hockey system, playing for the Calgary Bisons and Calgary Buffaloes before moving on to play with the Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). After missing most of a season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he moved on to the USHL, where he amassed 61 points in 62 games while finishing second in scoring on his team during their Clark Cup Championship run. James is committed to the University of North Dakota of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for the 2022-23 season.
