Drake Berehowsky (born January 3, 1972) is a former Canadian ice hockey player, having played his final year in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2014-2015 season. Drafted 278th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Bodie spent the first two years of his professional hockey career in the ECHL and the American Hockey League (AHL) before signing with the Anaheim Ducks for the 2008-09 season. Splitting time with the Ducks and their minor-league affiliate, he made his debut in the NHL and appeared in four games. He spent the next three seasons bouncing back and forth between the NHL and AHL, never capable of holding down a full-time role in Anaheim. During the 2010-11 season, he was placed on waivers and claimed the Carolina Hurricanes, who immediately injected him into their lineup. In 50 games with Carolina, he registered one goal and two assists, adding 50 penalty minutes on the year.
The following season, Bodie spent the entire year in the AHL with the Syracuse Crunch. While he registered five goals and ten assists in 69 games, the more notable stat was his 119 penalty minutes. The following year, also spent in the AHL, Bodie once again registered 100-plus minutes in penalties and improved to 16 points playing for both the Norfolk Admirals and Portland Pirates. Bodie made a return to the NHL after signing with the Maple Leafs, playing in Toronto for two seasons while splitting time between the NHL and AHL. He served as an alternate captain with the Toronto Marlies, and was promoted to captain in his final season with the team. Bodie retired at the conclusion of the 2014-15 season, finishing his career with 21 points and 172 penalty minutes in 159 NHL games.
Bodie was immediately hired as a pro scout by Toronto following his retirement, a post he held for three years before his promotion to director of professional scouting. After three more years with the Maple Leafs organization, Bodie accepted a job with the newly-founded Coachella Valley Firebirds of the AHL, where he will serve as director of hockey operations.
