Frustration, although quite painful at times, is a very positive and essential part of success — Bo Bennett
The Kings’ week on the ice
The Kings earned points in all three games this week, extending their streak to seven straight with at least one point (4-0-3). However, they dropped games in overtime to New Jersey and Colorado by 2-1 and 1-0 scores, respectively. The Devils’ game was particularly frustrating, as Los Angeles outshot New Jersey by a wide margin, only to lose on an overtime goal by Jaromir Jagr, the 121st game-winner of his illustrious career.

At 15-6-3, the Kings ended the week third in the Pacific, four points behind Anaheim and seventh in the Western Conference.
The week ahead
Los Angeles goes on a quick two-game road trip but stays near home, traveling to Vancouver and San Jose, before playing the Calgary Flames at the Staples Center on Saturday. The Kings routed the Canucks 5-1 and outlasted the Sharks 4-3 in overtime in their only previous meetings.
