After weeks of speculation regarding their look, the Arizona Coyotes have unveiled what the team will wear on the ice for the foreseeable future.
The new set of home and away sweaters were debuted during the team’s NHL Draft Party at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
The first thought when looking at the new uniform set is that of uniqueness. The Coyotes’ offering in the aesthetics department is that of something that is nothing like what the rest of the league has going on.
The design itself is something that no other team currently has. Even if it may be a tad bit boring to some, there’s definitely more going on than what they had previously. The color scheme goes from red and tan to a red, black and white scheme with tan accents on the logo and shoulder patch. There is also a touch of the original design in the form of the Kachina-style striping on the inside of the collar.

The one major surprise regarding the new look is the fact that the team has maintained it’s current logo rather than a complete rebrand to go along with the name change that took place prior to last season.
The new shoulder patch is a paw print that actually looks really nice on the uniform. It’s far better than the state outline the team had been using in the past.
So, while there is still confusion and uncertainty surrounding the future of the Coyotes in the desert, the organization and their fans are going forward with a new look to usher in, what is hopefully, a new era of hockey in Arizona. Now, it’s about making sure the players in the jerseys play as good as they look.
