The New Jersey Devils have claimed forward Bobby Farnham off of waivers.
The Pittsburgh Penguins waived the 26-year-old forward yesterday after he found his way into just three games this season, bringing his career total to 14 games with no points.
At 5-foot-10, 188 pounds, Farnham isn’t a big player and has yet to make an impact at the NHL level.
The last two seasons with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins he’s scored seven goals and seven assists, in 62 and 64 games.
So, while the Devils roster is pretty thin, it’s not clear how Farnham fits into the group and what he’ll bring to the table. Though it is clear that Farnham will get a better shot at increasing his total games played in New Jersey than he was going to get in Pittsburgh.
