With a pair of goals against the Boston Bruins on Thursday, Daniel Sedin scored his 347th and 348th goals in a Canucks uniform. That makes him the franchise’s all-time leading scorer.
He passes Markus Naslund’s 346 goals in a Canucks sweater.
It’s an impressive feat that seems somehow slightly off without Henrik Sedin able to be on the ice with him. Henrik is out of the lineup through the All-Star break at a minimum.
The Sedins are poised to be the team’s franchise leaders in every significant category before too long. Henrik is five games from passing Trevor Linden for most games played, while Daniel is just 32 games from that honor.
Henrik’s 732 assists are a franchise record, while Daniels 576 are second. Henrik’s 952 points are the franchise record and Daniel’s 924 are second.
It keeps going like this. Daniel’s 121 power play goals are number one. His 78 game-winners have a good lead on Naslund’s 49 in second place. Henrik’s 34 game-winners rank third. Daniel has taken over 300 more shots than anyone before him.
The trade to draft them both has worked out alright for the Canucks.
