The Florida Panthers have added another top name to their laundry list of injured players. Jonathan Huberdeau was injured just over five minutes into Saturday’s win over the Winnipeg Jets.
The 22-year-old winger was breaking toward the net when he took a shove from Winnipeg defenseman Jacob Trouba. After crashing awkwardly into the end boards, Huberdeau went down and was rolling on the ice in pain.
He was ruled out of the rest of the game with an upper-body injury. No update on his status was provided by the team after the contest.

Losing Huberdeau, who leads the team with 29 assists, would be a big loss, particularly with top line center Aleksander Barkov still out of the lineup.
The Panthers also have Erik Gudbranson, Brandon Pirri and Willie Mitchell on injured reserve at the moment. Though they’re hopeful that Barkov could return as soon as Thursday.
