We have a Game 7 folks. Two of them to be exact. The Dallas Stars came out of the gate like a team who didn’t want their season to end, and the Blues came out looking like a team that thought it would be an easy win. St. Louis almost made a comeback but the Stars held on thanks to a strong goaltending performance from Kari Lehtonen. It was sorely needed, as the goalie woes in Dallas were being emphasized as the series appeared to slip away. But now it’s winner take all Wednesday night in Big D. I would expect the Blues to win, but its no guarantee. [Todays Slapshot]
Over in Nashville, the Predators staged two comebacks to force a Game 7 of their own. The Sharks success on the powerplay continued, but the Preds heaped on the pressure and came away victorious. Martin Jones didn’t have his best game, but I’d imagine he will rebound. This series is a lot closer than the other West semi in my opinion.
