Team Canada exited the first period of their semifinal match against the United States with a 2-0 lead thanks to a pretty goal from Brad Marchand.
Marchand takes a stretch pass, heading into the zone against Jake McCabe, toes it around him and puts it on the tape of a trailing Cody Ceci, who bounces it back to Marchand to score from a tight angle on Keith Kinkaid.
It was a very nice play to help Canada get a nice head start on a berth in the gold medal match of the 2016 World Championship.

The goal gave Canada a 2-0 lead, but they would allow the next three consecutive goals to be scored by the U.S.
This tally gives Marchand four goals and six points in nine games at Worlds.
