A bus carrying the KHL Dynamo Moscow team has crashed while on the way to training camp. The team was on their way to Minsk airport to then head off to their annual training camp that is held in Belarus.
The following is a press release from Dynamo Moscow:
“On the evening of July 13th 2016, teams blue and white bus has crashed in Smolensk region, on our way to Belarus for our training camp. No players or staff has been injured. Our team has switched our rides and has carried on with our trip.”
A reporter from izvestia.ru was able to get in touch with Dynamo’s player Alexei Tereschenko who was on the bus when the vehicle crashed.
“Our bus was cruising on the highway, without breaking any speed limits or any road traffic regulations for that matter,” he revealed to Russian reporter (translated from Russian)
When asked about what happened he said that the bus had hit a car that was driving in front of them and they flipped on to the side and off the road.
“We don’t know how that happened but the most important thing is that none is hurt, and no injuries occurred,” he added.
