Free agent forward Jimmy Vesey will meet with the Boston Bruins for his last in-person team meeting on Wednesday reported CSN New England’s Joe Haggerty.

Vesey, 23, is from North Reading, Massachusetts and played four seasons at Harvard University before becoming a free agent on Tuesday. Despite his ties to the Boston area, the Bruins are not the clear-cut favorite to land Vesey. Other teams reportedly still in the running to land the projected top-six forward include the Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The 2016 Hobey Baker Award winner is not expected to make his decision until the end of this week, according to his agent, Paul Fish.
“I would say the earliest may be Friday or Saturday, but I wouldn’t expect it to drag on much into the following week,” Fish told The Boston Globe.
Vesey was originally drafted by the Nashville Predators with the 66th pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. After it became clear to Predators GM David Poile that the team would be unable to sign Vesey, his rights were traded to the Buffalo Sabres at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
