KHL Power Rankings – Week 3/4

First off, an apology on this late post.  The plan is to put this out there weekly on Tuesdays, but with only two games a week it is difficult to rank teams.  We have put two weeks together for this week only and likely from this point forward.  As of last Tuesday, most teams had only played five games and the week before they had played three, so there was not much to talk about.

Nevertheless, here are your week 3 & 4 KHL power rankings.  SKA St. Petersburg still does not look (too) human–Dynamo Moscow has slowed down a bit however.  After

seven games, there are definitely a few teams that are starting to separate themselves from the pack; both at the top and some living on the bottom of the rankings.  Barys is an offensive powerhouse and Ak Bars is showing their teeth as a team in the East that will not go down easy.

The middle teams are currently still trying to find themselves, but there is starting to be some separation between the elite clubs, pretenders and non-contenders.

It is hard to say what will happen over the next 50 games, but everyone still has a chance.  Enjoy this weeks rankings!

Rankings are based on all games played through September 23rd.
