St. Louis Blues rookie Robby Fabbri is out indefinitely after being diagnosed with a concussion, the team announced on Monday.
Fabbri suffered the concussion in the first period of Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Wild on a hit delivered by the Wild’s Chris Porter.
The 19-year-old forward spent last season playing for the Guelph Storm of the OHL, where he scored 25 goals and 26 assists in 30 games.
St. Louis coach Ken Hitchcock showed a weird misunderstanding of how concussions work, saying, “We’re going to miss Robby. I was surprised about the concussion because he had three great shifts after the concussion.”
