The New York Riveters have re-signed forward Bray Ketchum to a one-year, $15,000 contract, the team announced Thursday.
The signing gives the Riveters six players, four forwards and two defensemen, on contract for the 2016-17 season.
Ketchum earns a $1,000 increase over last year’s contract. She finished tied for third in the NWHL with 10 goals and her 14 points tied Brooke Ammerman for the team lead in scoring.

“The inaugural season of the NWHL was above and beyond what I expected, and I am honored to be a part of the Riveters for a second season,” said Ketchum. “We had a great group of girls and we were so lucky to have the incredible support of our fans. I look forward to an even more successful season this year.”
Ketchum joins Madison Packer, Morgan Fritz-Ward, Ashley Johnston, and Kiira Dosdall in returning to the team, who finished last in the league and were eliminated from the postseason in two games by the eventual champion Boston Pride.
Ketchum’s signing comes in waning moments of the restricted free agency period, lasting from April 1 to April 30. All un-signed players become unrestricted free agents on May 1.
The Riveters have committed $82,000 to the six players they’ve signed so far, leaving them $190,000 in cap space for the remainder of the roster. That number includes $2,000 in cap space acquired from the Boston Pride in a trade involving the rights to Alex Carpenter and Miye D’Oench.
