The Calgary Flames, established in 1972 as the Atlanta Flames before relocating to Calgary in 1980, are a professional ice hockey team based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The franchise competes in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Flames have a storied history and have become an integral part of the city’s sports culture, known for their passionate fan base and fiery determination on the ice.
