The Calgary Flames have hedged their free agency bets and re-signed goaltender Karri Ramo to a one-year deal worth $3.8 million, according to multiple reports.
1 yr,$3.8 mil for Ramo in Calgary.

Ramo was Calgary’s back-up last year, but posted a solid .912 sall situation save percentage through 34 games. He also worked his way into seven playoff games in relief of starter Jonas Hiller, where he posted a .906 save percentage.
There was a lot of speculation that Ramo would get a solid payday in free agency on the back of a second straight season with a .911 save percentage or higher, which he may have, but since joining Calgary in the 2013-14 season, he has just a 91.85% adjusted save percentage.
That ranks 51st among 80 goaltenders who have played at least 600 minutes (roughly 10 games) over that span. That’s not terribly impressive considering that many of the other goaltenders who have been available through trade and free agency rank higher career-wide.
Prior to those two years with the Flames, he never posted an all situation save percentage above .899 through 48 games spread across three seasons with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
