BioSteel training camp in Toronto is increasingly becoming a hub where we get some nice summer highlights. That’s not too surprising with the likes of Tyler Seguin, Michael Del Zotto, Lee Stempniak, Josh Ho Sang, Wayne Simmonds, Max Domi, Joel Ward, Devante Smith-Pelly, Chris Stewart and other top talent in attendance.
Yesterday, at the camp’s closing bell, two recent number one overall picks put together one of those highlights. Connor McDavid and Taylor Hall connected for a nice two-on-O against Bruins prospect Malcolm Subban featuring some nifty passing, with McDavid setting up Hall for not the last time this year. The breakaway happened during a four-on-four tournament that helped to cap off camp for the year.
The Edmonton Oilers are in good hands next season. (Well, at least their top line is.)
Speaking of good hands, check out the video below from day two of BioSteel camp to see McDavid undress a couple of goaltenders and to get a sense of the kind of hands Josh Ho Sang has. There may be other areas where that kid needs work, but wow. Ho Sang’s got hands.
Also, you’ll get to see Paul Bissonnette give some good natured ribbing to Taylor Hall and high school senior Connor McDavid.
