The Dallas Stars have announced their roster for the 2015 Traverse City Prospects Tournament, hosted by the Detroit Red Wings.
Their roster is headlined by three first round picks in forwards Radek Faksa and Jason Dickinson, as well as defenseman Julius Honka, who were drafted in 2012, 2013 and 2014, respectively. Honka in particular will be a player to watch, coming off his first professional season after gaining special exemption to leave the WHL and play for the Texas Stars in the AHL.
One notable missing from the roster will be Denis Guryanov, who has already started his season in the KHL/MHL.
Also on the roster are three invitees including the Edmonton Oil Kings’ Mads Eller, the Prince George Cougars’ Chase Witala (who took a huge step forward last season, nearly doubling his production from the prior year to a point per game) and former Victoria Royals forward Brandon Magee (who ages out of the WHL this season).
