With the injury occurring on March 20, the Ducks could have Perron back as early as mid-April, though the six-week mark would push his return to May.
Perron was injured vs. the Winnipeg Jets when he missed a check and awkwardly hit the boards with his right shoulder. He left the game after the incident and did not return. Video of the incident is below.
Perron, after the Ducks acquired him from Pittsburgh in exchange for Carl Hagelin, went on a tear and helped launch Anaheim back into postseason contention. He has eight goals and 20 total points in 28 games with Anaheim, after netting only four goals through 43 games in Pittsburgh.
Following a terrible start to the 2015-16 season, the Ducks now find themselves battling the Los Angeles Kings for first place in the Pacific Division. They’ve already solidified a postseason bid, but things will get much more difficult with the loss of Perron.
