David John Lowry (born February 14, 1965) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and was recently the interim head coach of the Winnipeg Jets in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played in the NHL from 1985 to 2004.
Lowry’s sons, Adam and Joel, were drafted by the Jets and the Los Angeles Kings, respectively. Adam currently plays for the Jets in the NHL. Joel played for the Cornell Big Red in ECAC Hockey for four seasons and is currently playing for the Springfield Thunderbirds, while under contract to the Florida Panthers.
