Evgeny Artyukhin (born April 4, 1983) is a Russian ice hockey player, having played his final year in the NHL split between the Anaheim Ducks and the Atlanta Thrashers during the 2009-2010 season. Drafted 94th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Artyukhin broke into the NHL during the 2005-06 season after spending the previous two years in the American Hockey League. He recorded four goals and 17 points in 72 games, and added one goal in five postseason games, but contract talks in the offseason went south, leading to Artyukhin returning to Russia. After two seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League, he returned to Tampa Bay on a two-year, $1.9 million deal, and 16 points in 73 games. The Lightning traded him the following summer to the Ducks in exchange for Drew Miller.

Artyukhin’s time in Anaheim lasted 37 games, and with four goals and five assists under his belt, the Ducks sent him to the Thrashers for defenseman Nathan Oystrick and a conditional draft pick. He added five goals while in Atlanta, setting a career-high with nine in total, but it marked the end of his playing time in the NHL. Artyukhin returned to Russia at the conclusion of the 2009-2010 season, signing with SKA St. Petersburg. He played in 11 seasons, scattered throughout eight different clubs, and was named the league’s most penalized player in three of those years, and currently plays for Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.

Internationally, Artyukhin has represented Russia on four occasions, winning gold medals at the 2000 U17, 2001 U18, and 2003 U20 World Junior Championship tournaments. As a member of SKA St. Petersburg, he won a Spengler Cup in 2011, registering one assist in four games.
