Francis Bouillon (born October 17, 1975) is a retired American ice hockey player, having played his final year in the NHL with the Montreal Canadiens during the 2013-14 season. Undrafted at the NHL level, Bouillon broke into the league during the 1999-2000 season, appearing in 74 games and amassing 16 points (3 goals, 13 assists). Bouillon played 14 seasons in the NHL, 12 with the Canadiens and 4 with the Nashville Predators. A stabilizing presence on the blue line, Bouillon was an efficient puck-moving defenseman who could throw a big hit despite his smaller stature. In 776 career games, Bouillon registered 149 points (32 goals, 117 assists) as well as 536 penalty minutes. Bouillon’s hockey career concluded at the end of the 2014-15 season with HC Ambrì-Piotta of the Swiss League. Bouillon announced his retirement on September 25, 2015 and he currently resides in the city of Montreal.
A two-time QMJHL Champion, Memorial Cup Champion and Spengler Cup winner, Bouillon has served the last five years as a development coach for the Canadiens. Bouillon has also represented the United States on the international stage, finishing 13th in the 2003 World Junior Championship.
