Krys Barch (born March 26, 1980) is a former Canadian ice hockey player, having played his final year in the NHL with the Florida Panthers during the 2013-14 season. Drafted 106th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Barch never played for Washington, spending the first six years in the ECHL and American Hockey League. He finally got his chance at the NHL level in the 2006-07 season, playing in 26 games with the Dallas Stars. In parts of six seasons in Dallas, he picked up a total of 84 fighting majors and 578 penalty minutes. During the 2011-12 season, he was traded to the Panthers after just ten games, bringing his tenure in Dallas to an end.

Barch’s first run with the Panthers lasted just the one season he was acquired in, playing 41 games and finishing with five points and 91 penalty minutes. The following season, he was traded to the New Jersey Devils for Scott Timmins, playing in 55 games. He returned to Florida in the final year of his career, playing in 55 games and amassing 99 penalty minutes, bringing his total career numbers to 812 penalty minutes in 381 games. Following his hockey career, Barch joined the Buffalo Sabres organization as a skating and skills coach, sticking around with the team for six seasons.
