Mitchell Chaffee (born January 26, 1998) is a current American ice hockey player, currently under contract with the Minnesota Wild. Undrafted at the NHL level, Chaffee enjoyed success in his three years at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) level, playing for UMass. In 2018-19, he registered 42 points in 40 games on a team of five players drafted into the NHL, including Cale Makar. They went on to win the NCAA Championship, and the following year Chaffee was named captain. In his final year, Chaffee amassed 29 points in 30 games, before signing a two-year, entry-level contract with the Wild.

Chaffee played the 2020-21 season in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Iowa Wild, where he registered respectable numbers. After 17 points in 29 games, he followed it up the next year with a 23-goal campaign in 49 games, earning him a call-up to Minnesota. Chaffee played in two games, finishing with a plus-1 rating. While Iowa failed to make the playoffs, finishing 6th in the Central Division, Chaffee still managed 39 points in 49 games, finishing fourth on the team in points and second in goals.
