Lee had a breakout year in 2014-15, posting 25 goals and 41 points in his first full NHL season. Lee was a promising and key piece of the Islanders rounding the corner this season, looking like they’ve built a team built around a young group of players that could soon be a contender.
Lee proved solid throughout the year, with a 1.2% score-adjusted CF%Rel. The four-year deal will buy the Islanders into his UFA eligibility, make a commitment to making him a part of the team’s core.
Here are some great stats on how Lee’s breakout year progressed from Micah Blake McCurdy.
