In news that can, arguably, be viewed as the biggest to break so far this season, Florida Panthers forward Jaromir Jagr has announced that he will be bringing back his legendary mullet of old.
The news was broken via Miami Herald reporter George Richards, who spoke with the ageless wonder after the team’s practice on Monday.
“I have to,” the 43-year-old said.
The return of Jagr’s glorious hair has been pushed for by goaltender and teammate Roberto Luongo. Luongo stated on Twitter last month that his “mission” for the season was to get the future Hall of Fame player to bring back the mullet that everyone loves.
On Monday, the Olympic Gold Medalist couldn’t contain his excitement on Twitter.

Jagr is the only player in the league to have his own fan section that follows him wherever he happens to go. It’s safe to say that the men who don a jersey from every team Jagr has been on have to be ecstatic about pulling out the wigs for the upcoming season.
It’s been quite a while since Jagr sported the long locks, but the memories are fond. Let us know what your favorite Jagr mullet memory is — don’t lie, we know you have one — in the comment section below!
