The Los Angeles Kings have signed 26-year-old forward Nic Dowd and recently acquired goaltender Jack Campbell to two-year contracts, the team announced.
Dowd’s deal carries an AAV of $640,000, according to General Fanager. The former St. Cloud State forward made his NHL debut last season, grabbing five games with the Kings, over which he didn’t register a point.
Campbell was acquired by the Kings from the Dallas Stars at the draft. He was selected 11th overall in the 2010 NHL draft, but he hasn’t been able to catch on in the AHL, even spending time in the ECHL, despite the fact that the Stars have had goaltending struggles for years.
The formerly highly regarded prospect will carry an AAV of $612,500 according LA Kings Insider Jon Rosen.
