Vancouver Canucks defenseman Luca Sbisa will be out for a little while with an undisclosed injury, according to coach Willie Desjardins.
Sbisa was seen in a walking boot (in case you what to know what undisclosed part of his body the injury is likely located at) at practice Monday and according to Desjardins this is “not a day-to-day injury.”
Through 11 games this season the former 1st round draft pick has a goal and three assists. Though it’s early in the season, that represents the defenseman’s best even strength scoring rate since the 2011-12 season.
With a -3.7% score-adjusted CF%Rel he hasn’t been a particularly effect member of the team’s blue line through their recent surge.
He has not officially been placed on IR yet and the team hasn’t called anyone up from the AHL.
Coach Desjardins said Sbisa suffered an injury that is not day-to-day, "he'll be out longer than that" #Canucks
