On June 16, 1990, the New Jersey Devils drafted goaltender Martin Brodeur 20th overall with their first pick in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. For the first time after 24 years, nine Atlantic Division, five Eastern Conference, and three Stanley Cup championships, the Devils will probably enter the 2014-15 regular season without Brodeur in a crease somewhere in their organization. After making his NHL debut in the Devils old red, white, and green jerseys on March 26, 1992, at the Brendan Byrne Arena, Brodeur more than likely made his last start with the only NHL franchise he has ever known on April 13, 2014, in the team’s red, white, and black jerseys at the Prudential Center. Both times he allowed two goals and both times he defeated the Boston Bruins. To honor the game’s greatest goaltender, The Hockey Writers proudly presents:

Excellent compilation of so many of his stats, good work. It’s really overwhelming what he’s done in his career, and it’s amazing to see all these numbers in one place.
Will this man, he’s been my hero since I was 8.
Will *MISS* this man…
Thank you. The impact he had on this team and the many fans that grew up watching/idolizing him is immeasurable and his on-ice legacy will never be touched. It is only a matter of time before he returns to the organization so stay strong!
I do not see # of goals scored by goaltender. pretty sure that needs to be in the list as well..
Thanks for reading John. The goals are listed as part of his career points totals in (13) postseason and (47) regular season.
Marty will always be a Devil in my opinion. I always have a piece of him that I play like. He will always have a place in my heart. GO MARTY!!!!
Yes he will be, even in his own opinion based upon what he said following the season.
I know its time, Cory is a great goalie, but i miss Marty already.
Martin will always hold a special place in the heart of every person associated with the Devils.
excellent stats youngman. Wow
Thank you.
