The National Collegiate Hockey Conference has returned to CBS Sports Network for a fourth year in a row, the league announced in a release on Tuesday. The University of North Dakota and Boston College will kick off CBS Sports Network’s college hockey schedule on Dec. 3, 2016, with the College Hockey Showdown from Madison Square Garden.
Each team in the NCHC will have at least two of their games on CBS Sports Network. Last season’s NCAA Champion, UND, will have a league-leading four games on CBS Sports Network. The First conference game between Colorado College and Minnesota-Duluth will be televised on Jan. 6, 2017.
As with the previous three seasons, CBS Sports Network will again broadcast both seminal games and the championship game of the 2017 Frozen Faceoff live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
During the first three seasons, the NCHC and CBS Sports have enjoyed a great working relationship.
“We look forward to another great year of NCHC hockey with college hockey’s leader for TV, CBS Sports Network,” NCHC Commissioner Josh Fenton said in an official press release. “CBS Sports Network has put together another fantastic schedule, leading off with the College Hockey Showdown at Madison Square Garden December 3rd and culminating with the Frozen Faceoff in March.”
