Utah Hockey Club, formerly known as the Arizona Coyotes, began its life as the original Winnipeg Jets of the World Hockey Association (WHA) and started playing in the 1972-73 season. Since joining the NHL, the Coyotes/Jets have made the playoffs 20 times but have only made the conference finals one time.
