Per Vancouver Canucks’ head coach Willie Desjardins, Brandon Sutter, Radim Vrbata and Alex Edler will miss the remainder of the 2015-16 season due to injury.
The Canucks also announced the news via their official Twitter.

Sutter, who was acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins last offseason in exchange for Nick Bonino and Adam Clendening, signed a five-year extension worth $4.375 million shortly after the deal was completed. He played 20 games this season after missing substantial time with multiple injuries, accruing five goals and nine total points in that span.
Vrbata (lower-body injury) played in 63 games with the Canucks this season, netting 13 goals and 27 total points. A disappointing season for the 34-year old veteran who is approaching unrestricted free agency on July 1.
Edler sustained a fractured fibula on Feb. 9 and was recently moved to long-term injured reserve before the announcement today that he would miss the final few weeks of 2015-16. Through 52 games, Edler recorded six goals and 20 total points.
The Canucks are currently sixth in the Pacific Division, well outside a Western Conference playoff spot with a record of 27-32-12. They’ve lost four straight and are 3-7-0 in their last 10 games.
