The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Sven Andrighetto to a one-year contract extension, the team announced Saturday. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 2013 draft pick (86th overall) played a career-high 44 games in the NHL last season, collecting seven goals and 17 points. He also posted a solid 2.8% score-adjusted CF%Rel.
In 26 contests with the St. John’s IcCaps of the AHL, he put up 10 goals and 23 points, and just posted seven points in seven games playing for his native Switzerland at the 2016 World Championship.
Andrighetto was set to become a restricted free agent on July 1.
