Donald Andrew Moog (/ˈmoʊɡ/; born February 18, 1960) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 19 seasons, starting for the Edmonton Oilers, Boston Bruins, Dallas Stars, and Montreal Canadiens, and he represented Canada on the international stage.
Moog won the Stanley Cup three times (1984, 1985, and 1987) as a member of the Oilers, then leading the Bruins to the Finals in 1988 and 1990. His lone NHL award came in 1989-90 when he teamed with Reggie Lemelin to win the William M. Jennings Trophy for the fewest goals against in the regular season.
During his career, Moog served as vice president of the National Hockey League Players Association. This position made him a spokesman for the players during the 1992 NHL players’ strike and the 1994-95 NHL lockout.
Upon retirement, Moog became a goalie coach with the Stars and the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League on top of his duties as owner of the Forth Worth Brahmas of the Central Hockey League.
