Cam Barker (born April 4, 1986) is a former Canadian ice hockey player, having played his final year in the NHL with the Vancouver Canucks during the 2012-13 season. Drafted 3rd overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Barker played parts of five seasons split between the Blackhawks and their minor-league affiliate, never capable of establishing himself as a full-time NHL’er. Despite going top three in his draft year, Chicago traded him to the Minnesota Wild for Kim Johnsson and Nick Leddy, putting an end to one of the biggest draft busts in the franchise’s history.

Barker spent the next few seasons on one-year deals with the likes of the Wild, Edmonton Oilers, and Vancouver Canucks, however he played in just 91 games over the course of the three seasons combined, and never reaching the postseason with any of the aforementioned teams. Barker continued to pursue his hockey career overseas, experiencing positive results in the Kontinental Hockey League with Barys Astana and HC Slovan Bratislava, playing in five seasons before moving on to the Swiss National League. Barker appeared in one season with Ilves of the Finnish Liiga, and ended his career at the conclusion of the 2020-21 season after two years in France with Rouen.
