Douglas Jonathan “Dougie” Hamilton (born June 17, 1993) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL). Hamilton was selected by the Boston Bruins in the first round, ninth overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Hamilton played for the Bruins for three seasons before he was traded to the Calgary Flames in the 2015 off-season. He would play with the Flames for three seasons before he was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in 2018. After three seasons with them, he signed with the Devils as a free agent in 2021.
