Jan Fredrik “Freddy” Modin (born 8 October 1974) is a former Swedish former professional ice hockey left winger who played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). Modin debuted with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1996 and won the Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004. He also played with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Los Angeles Kings, Atlanta Thrashers, and Calgary Flames before finishing his professional career in Sweden.
Modin is a member of the Triple Gold Club, winning a World Championship in 1998 and an Olympic Gold Medal in 2006. Upon retirement, he served as a team consultant with the Blue Jackets for three seasons starting in 2015.
