Sylvain Blouin (born May 21, 1974) is a former Canadian ice hockey player, having played his final year in the NHL split between the Minnesota Wild and the Montreal Canadiens during the 2002-2003 season. Drafted 104th overall by Toronto in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, Blouin experienced a productive final season with the Laval Titan of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) before making the move to the American Hockey League (AHL). His first two seasons after turning pro were spent between the AHL, ECHL, and International Hockey League (IHL), but Blouin got his shot with the Rangers during the 1996-97 season. He appeared in just six games, and one game the following season, spending the rest of his time in the AHL. After his failure to grow in the organization, the Rangers traded Blouin to the Canadiens for defenseman Peter Popovic.

Blouin’s stint in Montreal lasted five games, as he spent the rest of the season in the AHL. His production at the minor-league level dropped significantly, but he amassed a shocking 333 penalty minutes in 67 games. The following season, he doubled his point total while adding another 337 penalty minutes, and it was enough to inspire the Wild to sign him to a contract. Injuries shortened his 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons, but his time was spent in the NHL when healthy, avoiding the AHL. In 2002-03, he was traded to Montreal for a 2003 seventh-round pick, and was once again relegated to the Canadiens’ AHL club after 17 games.

After failing to gain an NHL roster spot in the 2003-04 season, Blouin departed to the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH), a lower-level professional league based in Quebec, Canada. Playing four seasons with Québec RadioX and two more with Pont-Rouge Lois Jeans, Blouin captured the LNAH Championship in 2005, the year he registered 32 points and 256 penalty minutes in 35 games. Blouin retired at the conclusion of the 2009-10 LNAH season.
